ATC Partners with Crasftman with Character
Elkhorn, WI — American Truck Company (ATC) is excited to announce that beginning Jan. 20, 2026, the company will officially participate in the Craftsman with Character program, an initiative designed to connect students with hands-on career opportunities in the skilled trades.
Through this program, ATC will partner with the local school district to help introduce students to the world of skilled trades—particularly diesel mechanics, a field experiencing a growing shortage of qualified professionals nationwide. By opening the door to real-world experiences, mentorship, and exposure to the industry, ATC hopes to spark interest and inspire the next generation of craftsmen and women.
"Diesel mechanics are increasingly hard to find, and fewer young people are entering the industry," said Brea Stiglitz, Office Manager at ATC. "We believe programs like Craftsman with Character are essential for showing students that skilled trades offer rewarding, stable, and meaningful career paths."
As the program gets underway, ATC plans to share updates throughout the process, highlighting student involvement, learning opportunities, and milestones along the way. The company is proud to support initiatives that strengthen the local workforce while investing in the future of the community.
ATC looks forward to working closely with educators, students, and program leaders to help build character, craftsmanship, and career-ready skills—one student at a time.
